A Message from TFM Founder and Executive Director, Dan Perkins
August 28, 2021
To the Brave Men and Women serving in Afghanistan and Haiti,
Thank You!
To cowards who harm our Servicemen, and slaughter innocent men, women, and children, know this ...
American Servicemen know how to put their equipment to good use, beginning with their boots.
Just study the kickin' they gave the Kaiser.
Postcard shown above is from the TFM Collection for Camp Dix, NJ during World War 1.
HISTORY IS MADE EVERY DAY AND IT MATTERS
Those who cannot remember the past, (or choose to ignore it), are condemned to repeat it.*
*Note from Dan Perkins: Just adding my own spin to the often misquoted saying about history repeating itself. See how Virginia TECH discusses it:
Variations on the repeating-history theme appear alongside debates about attribution. Irish statesman Edmund Burke is often misquoted as having said, “Those who don’t know history are destined to repeat it.” Spanish philosopher George Santayana is credited with the aphorism, “Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it,” while British statesman Winston Churchill wrote, “Those that fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it.”
The TRIPLE FIGHT MUSEUM exists to document, preserve, and distribute information about FIGHTS and FIGHTERS that mattered in the past, and still matter today. We focus on the evolution and intersections of 1) FIGHTS IN RINGS, 2) FIGHTS AMONG NATIONS and 3) FIGHTS FOR EQUALITY AND JUSTICE. Our mission is to help audiences appreciate connections between the past and present, SO they might better understand and respond to the FIGHTS that matter TODAY.
